First ever visit popped in whilst taking the scenic route back from Devises. Quaint and quiet village . spotted the inn, so made the stop, only one pint of the Cornish Coaster. very nice and prior comments of Lord Jeffers I woulod agree with james55westhead - 2 Sep 2012 18:07 |
I have visited here a few times with my friends from the village and I have always received a very warm welcome. The menu is encouragingly short, and evidently cooked on site. It is of a high quality complemented by the good service. The beer is well kept and I assume it is a free house because In the summer, they host a beer and cider festival with live music in the large garden, which is justifiably well attended by beer drinkers, families, locals and their children alike. The locals well support this pub, and it is well worth a visit for a meal or just for beer. Lord_Jeffers - 29 Dec 2010 21:43 |
stayed in a holiday cottage in this village, spent one night in this pub, very friendly staff, who kindly cooked us a bowl of chips to help the beer go down. Menu well overpriced , but as previously mentioned, there is nowhere else to eat in this village. bjork - 25 Mar 2009 16:51 |
Fantastic pub, Great food, wide ranging menu of local stuff which seems to change often. Locals welcoming and staff friendly. Good range of beer and wine too. Open fires often lit. CoffeeBean - 18 Jan 2007 12:39 |
Keeping an open ear indicates that its not local locals frequenting this bar, more rich commuter belt types, but all the same its quite nice and clearly caters for those with more $$$. Booze good, food really a bit too pricey for what it is, friendly staff, but no alternative if you are in the village! Scarey_biscuits - 13 Sep 2005 13:08 |
