Handsome pub, plenty of pannelled walls and prints, comfortable seats. Good beer selection, friendly staff, nice garden. Menu looked good. Well worth a visit MrBlue - 25 Jul 2011 16:28 |
Went there for lunch today. Adult food and beer were good. Child's lasagne not up to the same standard - quite disappointing. Ordered coffees, which took 20 minutes to appear. CTo - 4 Jun 2011 21:12 |
Cant believe there aren't more reviews about this pub. Arranged to meet up with friends who hadn't been before so was a little worried but I needn't have been. Got a warm welcome from the staff as well as from the lovely log fire blazing away. There were 7 of us and we all agreed that the meal was excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - they were particularly helpful with one guest who has special dietary needs. There was quite a varied menu with plenty of specials on the board. Plenty of beers, Swordfish being the favourite. Have been out for quite a few meals lately but this was the best by far. Highly recommended. Pickledonions - 17 Dec 2010 18:22 |
Called in off while enroute to Wells - welcoming staff, nice atmosphere, really excellent food, fine pint of Henry's (Wadworth of Devizes ). Highly recommended - we shall return ! pvaughan - 16 Mar 2009 15:39 |
This Pub is one of the best that we have been to. It's staff are very friendly, the food is tremendous, such good value for money and the beer is vey well kepy. I would certainly recommend this Pub to anybody around the Corsley/Longleat area. jstott - 8 Jul 2007 19:14 |
