Under new ownership and with a new name - The Corner House. Its popularity is picking up after its previous neglect. Bar area has sofa, high bars stools around upturned barrels, with restaurant area arranged to encourage dining. For those wanting to stay in the rooms it might be worth ignoring previous bad comments, seems much more organised.
Beers are still supplied by Blindmans, although there is now a guest beer, Budvar and Guinness.

Room very clean and bright. Beer lovely (but only a choice of three). Staff excellent (and under new management) and food very tasty. The only tiny gripe was that there was only instant coffee for breakfast. Apart from that, highly recommended.

Rather quiet yesterday afternoon. 3 Blindmans beers plus 2 guests on offer. The Lamb Gold was 2.50 and the Buff 2.70 - strange as the latter is weaker than the former!

Only Ploughmans on offer at lunchtime.

What an excellent bar! Good range of tasty well kept draught beers, a couple of proper ciders and a decent range of spirits. Pleasant service, good value food (Pieminster Pies amongst others) and comfortable surroundings.
Lacks a bit of atmosphere, possibly not helped by often being fairly quiet (seems the good folk of Frome dont sup much on a sunday night) but makes up for this by the fact that its utterly free of the types who feel its impossible to have a conversation without shouting obscenities at each other.

They've let the side down a bit in recent months because they now stock draught lager! Though other people probably see this as a positive advance (my wife being one of them)...
