| We visited the Poachers on a Saturday lunchtime. The menu caters for everyone (including a very fussy vegetarian and a 16 year old that will only eat lasagne). Despite there being a birthday party in the function room, we only waited about 15 minutes for our food and it really couldn't be faulted. | We stayed nearby, two minutes walk away at The Old Stables Chelynch which was great. Fodd at this pub The Poachers Pocket Chelynch was the best food we had tasted in years, we ate there all three evenings we stayed in the area. There were even VEGETARIAN choices , usually very difficult to find a selection. | I have not been here for years and I thought it was about time I gave it another visit. I am pleased to say that the greeting was friendly and the locals chatty, I felt comfortable and relaxed. The ale was well kept and the food good value and tasty. I will return. prinny - 12 Jun 2009 15:13 |
