It's downhill again!! New owners, old managers gone, no direction management presence. Beers average with only 2 on and poor selection of ciders unless you like thatchers!! Loud mouthed girl either talking openly to other staff about the place or on her phone. A real gem has now gone. Jameswestfield - 1 Aug 2013 00:05 |
first time i have been here for a while and wow has it changed great management, fantasitc monthly changing menu with so many temting dishes i found it had to choose, wines, beers and ciders all great and along with this a great friendly pub with good locals and staff i for sure will be back again now trouble75 - 15 Sep 2010 15:10 |
Great pub, friendly, good atmosphere, and enjoyable food - Also liked the wine retirementfun09 - 19 Aug 2010 21:22 |
Popped in on the way home and had a very nice pint of Butcombe, although I could have had Hopback Fuggles, one of several ciders, or fizzy stuff including an Italian on draught. One of the few places to have the recently resurrected "Natch" on tap. Seemed to be recovering from a busy lunchtime session, although coping quite well. Landlord's only been there six months, apparently. No sign of Kauto Star or Denman though. The_Final_Arbiter - 20 Feb 2010 23:05 |
very disappointing place. used to have a good reputation, but it's sadly gone off now. Ale and Food was in the same condition. alehouses - 17 Sep 2007 11:04 |
