My husband and I visited this pub in oct 2010- he stayed for a d-rink while I went shopping. When I returned I sat next to my husband on an empty barstool- after 15mins a man approahed me compaining that I had taken HIS stool!! When I appolgised and said I hadnt realised anyone was sitting here he replied can you not open your eyes, there is my drink, I was in the toilet! As the bar was full of pints at the time I got fed up with his attutide and replied I thought the barstools belonged to the bar and if its free then its for sitting on and next time maybe he should put his name on it!! Very rude in this pub. Shoulnt be allowed the owners should be aware of this - I def wont be back. hed - 12 Jan 2011 16:27 |
I agree with this entirley. Nothing to be said about the staff or anyone as I've no complaints although I was charged 18 for 4 glasses of fat frog!!Boy the moths were well shifted there. A place like Quinns I guess doesn't need to try that hard as it doesn't have the same sort of competition like the bars in Belfast have with each other but the cold atmosphere left me feeling drained and they really need to make an effort with the place. Sorry your not missing anything there move on by. anonymous - 20 Feb 2006 19:03 |
Went to Quinns last nite for the first time in years and I can honestly say I won't be back again in a hurry. Being fair, the bar staff and band were good, but there was such a horrible atmosphere in the pub. The average age was 19, and I, a young looking 25 year old was made to feel like I was over the hill. Whilst sitting on a stool, minding my own business, I received at least three elbows in the head and my friends and I also got a few dirty looks from complete strangers. We have never before had to deal with such a negative vibe in a bar and I kinda got the feeling that everyone in the place was rebelling against something or other. The management really needs to sort the place out, as it is being took over by a bunch of angry adolescents and I feel that it is extremely important for a bar to cater for people of all age groups, otherwises they are really limiting the amount of business they will get. anonymous - 5 Feb 2006 19:33 |
