Called in for a quick drink. I was in the driving seat so couldn't sample the ales on tap. My partner took two halves and was contented by both. The pub is a vast place but was very cosy, beams and comfy chairs. The locals were friendly and imagine that it would be a great place to spend the evening. We will return - and when we move to Worcester hope it's on a bus route ! Didn't sample the food - another time. I can only give it a 7 as I didn't personally try food or ales. selectivealedrinker - 9 Oct 2011 13:04 |
Not as busy as it used to be but the landlady is friendly and beer is well kept. Used to get a real mix of age groups but now mainly older folks which is a bit of a shame. gingerbeer - 4 Apr 2009 17:03 |
Things have moved on since the last review. Still an excellent pub now run by Johnathan Smith who brews his own beer at the pub. The mild, "Amy's Rose" is superb. Ilikemild - 3 Jan 2009 08:21 |
Quite possibly the best country pub in the...well, country. Ever since Tim started running the place the car park is never empty. The beer is local and well kept and the Thai food is very good. I went here on Boxing day and discovered that for a fiver you could shoot a few clay pigeons out the back! There's also an endurance lawnmower race on August bank holiday. If there was a monorail from here to Worcester, I'd move back there! lancalot - 6 May 2005 16:36 |
