Odd little pub nestled between modern shopping centre entrance, as we walked up on a Thursday evening the Hustle was blaring out from a Karaoke, must of the customers where stood on the front smoking. Only one hand pull beer on - Wainwright which was not bad. Had a laugh with the lass behind the Bar, asked her if she could turn the music up!! Hollow.legs - 11 Aug 2011 20:29 |
Saw this pub from the shopping arcades it had a traditional frontage but is a modern interior . Good Thwaites beers and reasonable food but not much for veggies. Spoilt by the two big TV screens which over power the bar, they might be great when a big sports event is on but not during the day. shoreleaf - 20 Mar 2010 19:21 |
Came across this pub recently. Down a side street but what a great little pub. Relaxed atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. Three cask ales on, I tryed the Lancaster Bommer which was a real tasty pint. Landlady very friendly and we stayed for a bar meal (which was again very good and great value for money) and she could not do enough for us. Toilets exceptionally clean (as throughout) and overall I would recommend this pub to all. molly21 - 2 Nov 2009 00:53 |
Sought out this pub one lunchtime and was a little disappointed. Beer was very good but the large plasma screens on the wall were playing MTV (or something similar) and dominated the small bar areas. I wouldnt have minded if the rugby or football was on, but MTV?? Didnt stay for a second pint. stevet650 - 13 Sep 2009 19:34 |
Hmm...difficult to find, but worth a visit! Four good ales on...I tried Lancaster Bomber, which was very nice on a hot Sunday afternoon! MarkISmith - 30 May 2009 16:11 |
