well its happened again...... just getting back to a warm friendly local pub with Korky & Carl back at the helm !!! Third visit back in 6 weeks to discover that Korky & Carl have left..... when will these breweries realise that the locals know best !! The beers may be as good but the atmosphere is just not the same... suelees - 5 Nov 2010 21:55 |
Like stepping back in time this place, had a big wow factor for me from the first time I saw it. Great beer and locals very friendly. Kev and Carol are doing a great job building the place back up, if you don't spend the visit with a smile on your face, there must be something wrong!!! Keep up the good work and see you soon! A warm welcome from Kevin and Carol the new lincenses as you walk into the most ornate bar in Telford. Brilliant ale and a cracking warm atmosphere, hope they do well and keeep serving cracking beer. petelocallad - 24 Mar 2010 13:23 |
Gone downhill since last visit , 3 real ales on Black Country BFG , Saddlers and Salopian Gold which was poor . Barman seemed more intrested in TV than serving customers , atmosphere very dodgy , not the pub it should be . trenchlad - 30 May 2009 22:56 |
Agree with comments about bar its proper old tiles and ornate window , beer ok . Lot of undesirebles seem to have migrated up from the now closed duke of york making it a lot less pleasant than previuos visits . trenchlad - 8 Feb 2009 23:13 |
