This now appears to be called the Cellar. It's a single bar pub with 4 real ales and a few continental style beers on tap and in bottles. Ales on handpull were Hobsons Best & Town Crier & Red Willow Peerless & Endless. Ok, but nothing particularly special. There are better pubs in Chester. blue_scrumpy - 14 Jul 2013 21:04 |
a great atmosphere especially first friday of the month for funkdub. but the bar itself is awful - toilets are always flooded, beer is not good, staff rude, they often run out of drinks and you will usually get your drink in a dirty glass!! my advice go for the tunes and the atmosphere which are great and stick to bottles! karuby - 20 Feb 2006 12:48 |

Upstairs, I don't know...replete with impossibly trendy types, so they say...downstairs is dark and grimy, a truly great place to not care about the mounting debts and court injunctions...they, however, do a great punk night on usually a Wednesday, maybe Tuesday, who cares, Monkey Vs. Robot. Be there. humanshield - 7 Apr 2005 03:38 |
