Poor even by Wetherspoons standards. Crawling with brats until their 'guardians' were informed there was no mash, veg or children's meals available. It then became less like a McDonalds - the beer was drinkable but It was just a dosshouse not worth the effort. Bootle as a whole is just a world of zombie pubs. Bank Hall to Seaforth & Litherland inclusive - don't get off the train. Snarling_Mallard - 7 Dec 2015 01:18 |
I can remember this place before it was a Wetherspoons & it wasn't a place I particularly liked. Its now been tastefully redecorated in dark wood. A low ceiling & split level floors give quite a cosy feel. Bar staff friendly & overall a nice feel to the place. One of the few Spoons that has a car park, but please note that it's "Pay & Display". happytyskie - 26 Nov 2011 19:05 |
Went in with some relations who can be a bit fussy. No problem here, a loverly place tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. We had food and we all ate the lot, including the relations, who are used to going in so called posh places. All very nice. The real ales were very good, and we all had a nice time. The staff were very obliging, and toilets 1st class. Recommended noggin46 - 3 Aug 2011 19:37 |
Very good Wetherspoons, catering to a mixed clientele. Beer (at 10am !) was excellent, and even the bacon roll was well above average. mtaylor40 - 23 May 2011 22:05 |
This was probably one of the best Wetherspoons I have been to for a while. The new decor was quite refreshing. Whilst the inside was a little dark with its unusual purple painted ceilings, the seating was comfortable and carefully laid out. Bookcases provided a different alternative to the usual Wetherspoons booths. The beer range was a little limited - Ringwood Forty Niner, Phoenix Navy, Greene King Abbot and Ruddles Best. Cider was Westons Vintage Organic. Service was professional and friendly. blue_scrumpy - 8 Oct 2010 18:32 |
