Haven't seen so many varieties of gin since we went to the Col Fawcett in Camden- 30 varieties. However, being thirsty we opeted for Aspalls cider and the guest perry (7.5%) food looked good but we'd already eaten. Smart out front, shame about the grubby loos c_and_j - 7 Jun 2012 23:14 |
They have a rotating real cider & a perry from Middle Farm (National Cider Centre) nr Lewes. Currently a Gwatkin cider & Hecks Blakeney Red perry. Tables in the street outside, for watching all the North Lanes shopppers go by. Small outside seating area at rear. jgurney1 - 27 Aug 2011 17:49 |
Good pub for the Thai Food - 2 courses for about a tenner, all freshly cooked in the clearly visible kitchen behind the bar. Sadly their only proper beer (Hardys) was off at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night, which left you with an uninspiring choice of cider, Carling or Guinness. Also the Gents is ridiculously small. editor - 21 Sep 2010 17:39 |
A lovely friendly pub in the North Laines area with a little courtyard out at the back. Don't let the frontage put you off; this place is buzzing with a young-ish crowd, efficient staff, a terrific range of Ciders and an interesting Thai food menu. micbinks - 11 Sep 2010 13:52 |
A young crowd but not a party place. Perhaps somewhere to start the night but there's nothing to keep you here for long. robamy - 4 Dec 2009 14:51 |
