Called in here yesterday for my first time and was pleasantly surprised. Pint of Flat Cap was delicious but a touch expensive at £3 a throw. Pity the neighbours have complained about the beer garden, as they are currently altering it to an indoor area now. I shall return. realalerules1983 - 10 Mar 2014 12:57 |

Decent food and bar. Not bad to take the other half to and sit in the lounge. Can get very busy and a little full. They need to do bookings for the tables.. Excellent pub though... PaulHemingway67 - 30 Jan 2012 20:33 |
This place used to be considered classy when I went to school nearby and many a pint enjoyed at lunch time. Alas its run down and bar staff seemed amazed to see us! One mouthful of the tired bitter and a fast departure was the result. manstein - 25 May 2008 16:10 |
It is indeed a smart pub. The beers they serve were top notch, almost perfectly poured. However, when I was there the staff were courteous and had everyone sorted with their drinks quite quickly. Definitely a must go to for anyone visiting the area. mnolan - 13 Apr 2007 22:38 |
