Modern clean pub with swimming pool and skittle alley. Served Palmers Best from Bridport. Excellent food. We hired the skittle alley and had a generous portion of sandwiches and chips for 5.50 each. Robin_from_Swanage - 1 Nov 2011 08:27 |
Was pleasantly surprised as most pubs on caravan sites are lager palaces. Good cask ale and we had a lovely dinner there too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. chick - 4 Jun 2008 10:09 |
We stayed on the site. Really good real ale, family friendly and surprisingly good food. Yes, it's not the most quaint of pubs, but the service, food and beer were all good. Phmoo - 11 Apr 2008 21:12 |
The name conjures up an image of a 17th century pub with thatched roof and adjoining duckpond, but what you get is a modern one storey building next to a holiday camp! However, after a 30 minute trek from Swanage we were just glad the place was open. It's perfectly respectable and relatively cheap given the closeness of so many gullible tourists, but it's just not what you might expect. Pubgrabber - 29 May 2007 20:01 |
