Usual Wetherspoons fare, slow service but cheap beer. Worth a visit as not many real ale pubs in Mansfield.

No longer Chicago, now owned by the Wetherspoons chain under the name of Stag & Pheasant serving up to 3 real ales. Can get busy on weekend evenings when there is a charge to go in but otherwise there is plenty of seating available. .

went for a birthday meal, the one thing i wanted on the menu they didnt have, what pub runs out of chicken? my friends had chille nachos, the chille came out cold, when we informed them, they replaced it with ANOTHER cold portion, the manager said that it must be a problem with the microwave, and gave us our money back...worst birthday ever.

i used to think this pub was fantasticit was deffinatly the place to go2 years ago.but now, well what can i say the beer is rubbish always warm or flat even both on a really bad day,far to expensive for what you get.the staff are not far from useless dont think could go any slower if there wasnt anyone in and as for the dj i think they must find them the same place they get the staff. in all the whole place needs a new team to liven it up. if your thinking of visiting this place at the weekend then dont save yourself 4 and get another pint next door.
