I picked this pub at random and was well pleased. This is a spacious pub in a quiet unpretentious village, I guess parking may be a problem but not on a Thursday in January. The seats near the open fire were hogged but the pub was warm anyway. I had an excellent Ringwood bitter, Doom Bar also available. The menu's pricey but justifiable given the type of pub and quality of food. Definitelely worth a visit. paulzwo - 10 Jan 2009 19:41 |
Brother-in-law tells me that there has been a change of management at this inn, too. Let's hope both the Bear ansd the Stirrup Cup continue to be excellent, welcoming inns. railtracksurvivor - 29 Oct 2006 19:45 |
Very friendly pub. Does food - which is excellent, and good value for money. The Sunday Roast is impressive. Also does a Deuchars IPA that is apparently well above average, and excellent local clear cider [not scrumpy]. railtracksurvivor - 5 Sep 2005 05:44 |
The Stirrup Cup, Bisley, a traditional 18th century Cotswold country inn with open fires in the winter, a place which offers real food, real ales and real atmosphere for visitors. I love this pub , it is so pleasant just to sit back and relax with a beer and watching the world go by at a steady pace, friendly bar staff and great food and ale. malabus - 24 Mar 2005 20:55 |
