Sat 19th May - Really really poor service. 4x bar staff, only 2 of them serving - not sure what the other 2 were doing. Insult to injury was they all took time to have a jaeger bomb whilst potential customers had been waiting at the bar - the staff got drinks before the paying customer. Eventually walked out without our drinks. Frustrating as the music and atmosphere was great - would have been happy to stay. 10sper - 20 May 2012 01:18 |
God give me strength-this is not a pub-its a cocktail bar for the post work/pre club binge drinking student/teenies/twenties crowd who don't like the taste of a proper pint cos it tastes bitter ! It started life as Hartfield's wine bar about 20 years ago and became a cocktail bar and has never even been a pub. Correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't serve any real ale ? I really like Suburban - great cocktails, super efficient and friendly (and not bad looking) bar staff, good music and even a (very) little garden. cbc29 - 13 Aug 2010 13:37 |
Came here last week for my 21st, and this place never disappoints. The cocktail selection large, more than 100, and the barstaff are pretty friendly. They've just opened up a garden at the back, which is good in the summer, but in the winter they have a cosy fire thing going on getting there for happy hour 2-4-1 is a must will happily continue to come here for the best place in wimbledon. deewoody - 30 Jun 2010 17:17 |
This is by far the best pub in Wimbledon. The cocktails here aren't the best you will ever drink, but 2-for-1 between the hours of 6-8pm sun-thurs and 5-7pm fri and sat (i think) more than make up for it. This place does indeed heave on the weekends (or on any Aussie/Kiwi national holidays) but it's worth going to if you can get through the doors. Bar staff are also friendly and service is very very quick! higgsboson - 2 Mar 2008 21:14 |
