From a local news report it would appear that this pub is now 'derelict' and damaged by fire. I would check before making a visit.

also forgot to mention for all those fisherman out there take a rod with you as with just simple jelly lures you can catch sea bass there decent size with just sink floating jelly lures, i used a yellow colour worm like lure and it done the trick i did see other anglers there using small crabs collected from around the rocky areas near were they launch small boats, and was catching on those too,
what more could make the perfect day a peaceful days fishing and a nice cold beer or two,
best time for the bass is 20 minutes after high tide thats when they seem to come up to feed,,
ENJOY

visited this pub on 18th june which was there reopening night,
now under new management by a family i belive dad (steve) mum (kerry) and grown up children have all helped to make your visit so welcoming you feel as your all friends in such short time,
my wife and i really enjoyed the evening out and have been back 3/4 times since, they have plans to open the riverside resturaunt upstairs which has the most spectacular veiws especially at sunset over the river crouch and surrounding landscape, the drinks are chilled to perfection and the perfect tranquil drive just adds to the whole experince, we will be going back on saturday the 16th as theyve got a live band playing who are said to be very good so we may arrive a little earlier than the start time of 9pm suggested. very much looking forward to the sunday dinners which we was told should be soon but for the mean time they are going to start things like jacket potatoes, panninis, sanwiches and snacks,
so my rating that im putting below is going to be on how it is now, and then update it when need be on services etc,
so on friendlness of staff and service and also the karaoke nights there on fridays and if people want to sing they will let you on saturdays and riverside veis and also good prices for your drinks, my rating is for that,
cant wait for next visit may pop up there now for a pint haha

The perfect summer retreat. Sit on the river bank and watch the sun go down. What makes the visit is the winding roads to get to the pub. If you have an old Mini or MX5, you cannot miss this one!
