good selection of Pukka lagers and so on, on top of the music. Opens late so handy when staggering back to the station Uncle_Dunkel - 21 Oct 2010 17:16 |
Yeah, not bad. Good range of drinks to be fair. Music alright, OK, not the most pumping of venues, but we had a decent night here. Spoony - 16 Mar 2009 19:11 |
Small venue but was pleasantly surprised by the drinks available. 2 peeterman on the after work special is a pretty damn good offer. Franzuschainer on draught as well which is a winner. No ales though. ChrisP87 - 2 Sep 2008 13:08 |
tonight my boyfriend is playing at the soul cellar 78. Him, the rest of his band and i are all 15/16 years old. me and my friend (who is the bassist's girlfriend) were let in with no trouble at all and sat upstairs for an hour or so. We were eventually asked to leave for a while so the band could set up. on returning we were refused entry because we are under 18. It was very irresponsible of the managers to not let any of the band members know about the under 18's policy until the gig was about to start. My friend and i (two under 16 girls) were left in the middle of southampton, on our own on a friday night with nowhere to go. They would not even let us wait in the lobby for someone to come and collect us. We understand the risks of losing their licence but when it comes to a situation like this, they should of taken responsibility for not letting any of us know and not force us into the streets at 9pm on a friday night. The band, TBA, lost all their fans who had showed up to watch them play, lost out on a great sum of money, and were left not in the mood to give a good performance. We were very disappointed with the actions that were taken tonight, as it seems such a lovely pub with a warm atmosphere. TBA will never play there again, and we definately dont intend on coming back. tba.lover - 23 Jun 2006 21:59 |
