Great little local pub. cosy bar area with open fire. No TV, & friendly dogs welcome. Excellent local beers from Ironbridge brewery and Salopian Brewery and premium lagers. The home cooked food is great vfm. The home made pies which vary daily are a speciality and v tasty especially the steak and stilton. tortoiseman - 12 Mar 2014 18:41 |
Nice pint although only one real ale on, food ok and plentiful, nice pub all round OldandBitter - 29 Mar 2012 11:31 |
2 ales on. EPA and Boolangna (sp), a blonde ale. Both nice. Friendly staff. We both had food. missus raved about the steak pie. The pork belly I had was disapointing, slices of pork, more like a roast than pork belly. The apricot stuffing was normal stuff with few small pieces of apricot. dave288 - 15 Nov 2010 20:59 |
we visited on a week night and the place was amazing. loveley decorated & clean! the food was amazing we both had steak and chips. the steaks were cooked perfectly. this place is the best we have been to in a long time :) so 2 steak & chips 4 pints of carlsberg... 22.00!! WOW! not sure if this was a promo or not but worth every penny. jamesellis123 - 10 Jul 2010 18:46 |
Visited again last weekend. Must say the meals have gone down market! Don't get me wrong they were very nice but very much pub grub now rather than the excellent quality they used to serve. Average cask ale, from memory I think it was a Slaters Brew. stevane - 11 Feb 2010 15:37 |
