| I have to say, this isn't a bad pub at all. It's not really worth going out of your way for, but locals like myself enjoy having a pub like this on our doorstep, especially at well under £3 a pint for very kept lager. You don't get that often round London now. Food is OK, nothing gourmet, but nice enough. They show a lot of sport and have excellent parking if you're driving. One complaint I have is that I think there is too much parking and a section of the main car park could easily be sectioned off and a nice beer garden made of it. The car park is often full of cars where the owner is not even in the pub! If they did this and made a really nice beer garden, the pub would be absolutely great. robfosters - 25 Jul 2016 00:48 |

| Follow up on my earlier review, another internet voucher called for a �2.99 carvery. Less meat than before on account of a not so generous carvery chef however this was made up for by the Marstons EPA at �1 a pint ! Number.6 - 20 Sep 2011 21:50 |
| Visited here the other day as I had an internet voucher for a cheap carvery (�2.99!). As its a part of the Crown Carvery chain the regular price is under a fiver anyway. The food was fine, I've eaten in here a couple of times and never had any issue with it and of course great value at the price. I went in here on a saturday afternoon so pretty quiet with some families etc, bar staff / clientele seems ok at that time of day. Real ales are now on here : three pumps with distinctly chain pub line up - bombardier, spitfire, marstons EPA which admittedly only seems to be in the crown carveries portfolio locally round here. That was �2.15 / pint and frankly one of the best pints of it I've had. Recommend here if eating, if not this is not exactly a drinkers pub, giving it a 6/10.
