Not impressed by worn out decor, and generally tired interior. Not a place for a special date. Definately a blokes pub. Food is pubby and beer not worth writing home about. copperkettle - 25 Aug 2011 21:58 |
Not worth 8.4, only came here because of the rating on this site. Never again. Very average pub. Aweful decor, only redeeming feature is well kept Doombar, and pleasant courtyard garden which I suspect will be very noisy at peak times due to kids play area including trampoline next to it. Loud music in bar and TV. I suspect this pub is trying to cater for all just to survive the current economic climate and most of the voters for this pub are well meaning friends. Traditional british pub, more of a blokes pub though get a few builders in after work but the garden out back is amazing and the landlord really tries to please everyone especially the smokers (not many of them left these days), childrens play area is brilliant too, great pub for family and friends especially on a sunny day as the garden gets sun all the time. julypooly - 14 Jul 2010 12:08 |
