| First time here for many a year, hardly recognised it. Bit more foodie than even my local, The Refectory, in Milford with all tables laid for lunch. However there was no problem with us sitting at the bar but that is it, there is nowhere else. We had Shere Drop and one from Ascot. I think were a couple other real ales on. | This place is absolutely beautiful. I can only assume that it went under refurb recetnly, hence the lower ratings but I was here for lunch on Saturday and sat in the garden round the back. Food was excellent (good value) and service was great. They even had a small TV to catch up on the Lions game. It is very much a high end pub but I cant recommend enough. | Super refit. Whole place looks fabulous and the garden is a delight. Wonderful friendly greeting and a marvellous waitress. Alas, the food was not what you would expect - wasn't a thing on the plate that wasn't over-cooked or under-cooked.
