Went here lunchtime for the first time.
Warm welcome from staff.
Very clean.
Excellent choice of food. and good quantity and quality.
Two very sexy ladies serving at the bar. (sexist but true)
Only down side was a very limited and dull choice of cask ale. Harvey's, Spitfire and their own Queens Head Ale, but that is only 3.2%

This was the lunch stop for our walking group. I had noticed the recent refurb and wanted to give it a try. Well worth a visit. We were welcomed with warm smiles. Quite busy with a lunchtime clientele. It seems to have taken the fancy of "ladies that lunch", which is a good sign because it generally means the menu is up to snuff. We ate off the light bite menu and were pleased with our two dishes: fish & chips and some good sliced ham served with egg & chips. Nothing fancy but just what a bunch of walkers want to enjoy. We drank the Harveys, which is generally a safe bet and it was well kept here. The main menu suggests that you could get a much more stylish evening meal here too. We'll be back.

An update from The Queens Head.
Katie and I have now been here for six months and would like to thank all our locals and regulars who have supported us and helped make the pub the warm and friendly place that it is.
The Queen's Head is now what a good local pub should be, somewhere that sells well kept beer (we gained our cask marque award last month,) offers delicious fresh locally sourced food (we name the farms on our menu's) and a good bit of banter with our regulars.
