Cracking pub. Good range of ales, roaring log fire on the go in the middle of winter, few pub games, central location. Would definitely use again. Beer_in_the_morning - 15 Feb 2015 15:35 |
Found it to be an honest straight up kind of pub with a few decent ales on. Worth dropping in to. Snarling_Mallard - 17 Dec 2012 20:45 |

Memories oh memories. I used to be a regular in this pub when it was run by the most miserable landlady ever to exist. This was in the 80's. She eventually barred so many people that nobody went in. Glad to see it appears to be in revival. hooley - 24 Jul 2005 13:12 |
Small busy town centre pub where a few years ago Jules Holland did an impromptu piano session following a performance by him and his big band at Lancaster University. Jules liked the atmosphere so much he vowed he would be back. Well kept beer, worth putting on your crawl. Rocket - 19 Apr 2005 21:40 |
