Advertised by a sign on the main road, but when you get there it's a let down. When we arraived food had finished so we just had drinks and snacks from thre bar. Landlady seemed to be forcing a smile and didn't say much so not somewhere I'd rush back to. meland - 23 Jan 2011 09:16 |
Homely atmosphere, friendly enough locals from what I could tell and a good dartboard. 3 real ales on, although there's only so many pints of Greene King IPA and Abbot that one can drink, as GK seems to have a monopoly in that part of the world! Ruddles was on as well, which is a welcome change. woodyptom - 20 Jul 2006 19:12 |
Nice few ales on (although yet another Greene King-orientated one!), good and cosy atmosphere and an ace dartboard! Also, I didn't feel estranged by the fact that I'm northern and had a strongly-contrasting accent! travis_dave - 15 Jul 2006 10:30 |
nicely un-redeveloped GK locals' pub. nothing adventurous as far as beer is concerned, but friendly and unpretentious. nice dingy area around fire with beams and stuff as I recall. not tried food but likely to be basic. linoleum - 3 Nov 2005 23:46 |
