An ok pub with limited beer choices due the usual Greene King "guest ale" policies - i.e., only guests that they produce themselves. Good quiz night though and good staff behind the bar. littledrummerboy - 2 Nov 2011 21:12 |
Decent enough local boozer, worth a visit (especially if you want to watch Rugby on the TV!) LuckyEric - 27 Feb 2011 21:41 |
A reasonable enough one room 'community local' spoilt by it's GK tie. I thought the Tolly Cobbold Phoenix was a guest ale till I read the small print. WAS the best proper ale pub in the town. The Albion (nominally a Banks & Taylor house owned by one of the pub co.s) in a nouveau Victorian style has opened over the road with at least (on my count) 13 different handpumps). Much as the E & T seems a nice pub I hope GK either respond to the competition and allow more guest ales or else perish in the wake. anonymous - 23 Apr 2010 22:40 |
Be careful where you sit. A lot of seats get reserved for the regulars. Ropey Guinness. nephron - 30 Dec 2005 15:50 |
