This pub has closed and been boarded up. Sister_430 - 23 Oct 2009 11:45 |
Visited this pub in March while in Leicester for the beer festival and it was great. Bells brewery running it and they seemed very enthusiastic about their plans. Spent ages chatting to the lady behind the bar and the Bees brewer who was also there. Enjoyed Bells Raspberry Slaughter 8.0% and Oakham JHB 3.8%. It is such a shame to hear it is closed again. gillhalfpint - 10 Jul 2009 11:09 |
Note that the people at Bells have decided to concentrate on their other outlet The Gateway for now. Queen Vic closed again. Leicesterbeer - 31 Mar 2009 21:02 |
Bells Brewery now own this pub, looks like work is ongoing to improve this pub to its former glory! A beer festival was on when we arrived, 20+ beers all in good condition. The barstaff were friendly and helpful. I wish Bells luck in this venture and will return soon to see how they are progressing. I was told yhey have another pub in Leicester and will soon be brewing here as well. lotus - 28 Feb 2009 12:12 |
This is also a Bells pub and will be selling guests alongside its own brews. Going to be an ongoing project to get back on its feet. Good luck to them though. Leicesterbeer - 23 Feb 2009 18:07 |
