| The fire started in a flat over the pub, and nobody seems to have been hurt. Unlikely to reopen as pubs down this side of the High Street are dying. Even the Wetherspoons - The Grapes, just up the road - closed a short while ago. All the busy pubs are towards the station, including the remaining spoon. wealdman - 6 Aug 2018 15:23 |

| was in here last night,a traditional style pub with 2 rooms.was drinking carling as had a lager day ,which me and mate thought was a very good pint.beer on was bass.nice to see a pub with a juke box.was made very welcome by the long serving landlord.worth a visit if you are down this end of high street. hoppyal - 3 Oct 2011 13:52 |
