Just caught the end of the beer festival Saturday afternoon. With nine or ten ales to choose from I sampled six in third-pint glasses. Although kept in good condition (the beer that is - not me) only one was that tasty. Bar staff and waitresses are very polite and friendly. Usual 'spoon' standard food, the spare ribs are good value and quite filling. A good pub for Harlow! fugglehops - 25 Apr 2013 21:31 |
Dont usually visit wetherspoon pubs but had a lunch meeting at this wetherspoons last week. Although the actual building isnt too attractive i was pleasently surprised when i ventured inside!! Nice cozy warm atmosphere (complete opposite to the weather outside) clean and staff all very happy and busy!!! Had a pint of "pigswill" which was great! The food arrived quickly and tasty!!! Went in with a friend for lunch and after a few hours sightseeing for beer. Beer was excellent and the food is of a good standard. No problem with the decor and the fact it's in a tower block - Harlow is a new town after all. One of the better Wetherspoons wrichard - 7 Nov 2010 11:37 |
Okay so it might not win any architectural awards or be in the most picturesque of locations to say the least, but once inside I found this to be a very pleasant and clean pub. Immediate, friendly service and the food came quickly and was of a good standard. Best set off well before you need the loo, though, it's a long walk! ace1973 - 14 Sep 2010 16:54 |
