Since this pub has been under new management there has been vast improvements within, you could say its a completely different place with nice clean carpets and a clean smell. The bar staff are impeccable and host numerous events such as Bingo, bank holiday BBQ's and competitions for all the punters. i would highly recommend this venue to everyone as its family friendly. simon88 - 26 Jan 2011 11:01 |
This pub is an absolute disgrace. When we took our friendly pool team to this venue, the way we were treated was absolutely dispicable. We arrived to be told that there was no food being laid on for the away team as it was 'a cup match'. An excuse that the league later stated was totally unacceptable. The bar staff were rude and obnoctious, the opposing team we played against were intimidating. They had two, bull-like women who were agrressive towards us. The referee was clearly hired by them to throw the game which is part of an ongoing investigation led by the league. The game was abandon after an alltercation between two players (which cant be named for legal reasons) which resulted in us being told to leave. I would not recommend anyone go to this place anytime soon. springo - 4 Feb 2010 18:12 |
Horrid, avoid at all costs, a real in-through-the-door-and-out-through-the-window kind of place, if you find yourself lost in Shrub End and wanting a drink you'll be better off at the Co-Op round the corner rather than taking your life into your own hands in this place! jojo85 - 4 Feb 2009 09:15 |
The sort of pub that you can smell the toilets as soon as you open the door. Cold inside with no carpets. Same old alcy's sitting there day after day - two well kept pool tables though. Regulars can bite "what you doin in OUR pub" type of attitide. jacobsdad - 15 Apr 2006 14:09 |
