If you want a late drink then you must be in there by 10 o'clock or you'll find yourself in Chicago's or some other teenage late drinker. anonymous - 6 Jan 2007 16:55 |
Perhaps the most unfriendly pub I've ever entered. The beer was cold and therefore it got a mark of 1 rather than zero. However, everything else is just awful. We were asked for ID, but given that we were over 30 we're guessing thats because they wanted no one else but the family in there drinking rather than us looking good for our age. Considering it appeared only the family was in there I'm guessing they don't want any business. Decor is dated but I've seen past such things in lots of other pubs because of the service and atmosphere - however, you had nothing else to do but look at all its faults given the cold shoulder you receive. NEVER going back............... lhamilton - 7 Aug 2006 18:56 |

Now if there was ever a shite heap, this is it. How this pub has ever survived is beyond me. To give you an idea - imagine your front room, and now image it with a bar, some optics and a few pumps. Add yellow ceilings and walls, a little "c**t this and f**k that", and you've got the Nelson. jacobsdad - 28 Apr 2006 19:49 |
