Now re-opened as an Italian restaurant. Not tried it but have heard good reports. It won't be missed by anyone as a pub except the most devout CAMRA followers and about 3 regulars anonymous - 8 Jan 2005 11:35 |
It has been closed for sometime now and alleges to be reopening as a trendy restaurant! Gerard - 26 Sep 2004 18:32 |
Visited this pub 4 times in 2003. First time big screen Sky football but no customers, second time pool table and real ale installed but still dead, third visit it seemed to have changed to a gay bar (Jimmy Somerville, Aids notices and (at least) friendly staff.Last visit Sept 16, pool table, real ale and gay business gone, back to being dead. OK if morgues your scene. G Gerard - 17 Sep 2003 23:50 |
At 8.30pm on a Saturday evening, there was only an over-enthusiastic bar manager in this pub to keep me company. No customers. No staff. Crap drinks (the Guinness was awful, very musty, and the lady suffered a crap range of wine). I have a feeling that this pub is in the hands of the receivers, and the aforementioned over-enthusiastic bar manager has 26 weeks to turn it around or get out. Let's hope that this is the last season for The Woolpack, the worst pub in Kings Lynn. Loz - [email protected] - 17 Mar 2003 10:02 |
