Old pub just outside th main tourist area. Fair selection of Adnams Ales in good condition. Worth the walk from the town centre.

This once characterful Cambridge centre pub is now, in essence, a bar-cum-club, with drinks and décor to match. Having said that, the London Tube map that has the station names replaced by band names painted onto the wall as you walk upstairs to the toilets (a la Simon Patterson's 'The Great Bear') is a nice touch.

Booze Allan is writing about the excellent Castle located north of centre, near the castle mound; this is a mediocre GK pub in the central street.

Friendly pub not sure how Gastro it was but as drinkers we were welcome. About 8 Adams ales on tap - possible 1 or 2 guests but otherwise a record for the amount of Adnams beers on tap - there was even a Wheat beer from them. I tried a pint of the Ghost Ship & it was well kept.

My camra book of pub crawls is out of date. This has had a major makeover and is now a restaurant rather than the classic pub of yesteryear. One ale on and that was green king IPA.
