not a bad pub, not great to go for a night out, but a good place for a good meal. The head chef, if it's still the same woman, is brilliant, and has alot of great ideas, a shame the manageress won't give her the space to run it her way. wagon - 5 Dec 2008 02:08 |
I remember this pub when it has the oval bar. Word had it that an American bought the woodwork and had it shipped back home. I wonder if those mugs who agreed to that would give their right nut to have that bar in theri grasp again! So-so bar, now. A bit cold in winter (they don't put the heating on!). Good pub - and ideal for a swift pint if you're waiting for a carry-out from the brilliant Loon Fung almost next door! Aig_Wilson - 26 Mar 2006 22:10 |
Nice friendly pub. Decent pint of Everard's Best and Caledonian 80/-. The Deuchars IPA had run out when I was there. Good value too, or rather it's quite cheap. Lots of tellies showing sport, but isn't too intrusive. norgor - 19 Dec 2005 20:23 |
