Great night at The Sea Horse last night. Staff there are the best in The City. tortoise68 - 24 May 2012 08:19 |
played a game of darts down there, the throw is pretty awful tucked away in a corner, and the lighting isn't much better. Lazy playing of music through music channels is also evident as mentioned below, and would only really go back there when my team has to play there, wouldn't go by choice. slim1690 - 8 Jul 2011 01:39 |
Agree with LondonHawk, the music's far too loud in this place. We went outside to be able to speak until rain drove us in and we had to shout over TV ads and chart music. Has Landlord on tap but that's not enough for me to bother returning. DuchyBoy - 17 Jun 2011 13:00 |
What a wonderful little pub this is. It has everything. A bit of Northern hospitality right in the heart of London. The owners are wonderful little people and the owner John does a fantastic impression of Basil Brush. His daughter Alison does a wonderful turn on the Karaoke, she's like a Malaysian Amy Winehouse. The food is excellent and they have a wide variety of beers. For those of you who like to rub shoulders with the stars, there is a portly Daniel Ratcliffe lookalike who ocassionally pops in to sample the home made curry. Highly recommended. Despite the other favourable reviews, I don't believe this pub's any good. They play music channels very loudly on large TV's and don't turn down the volume for the ads. That's not what I look for in a pub. I mean, you're standing there having a pint and all of a sudden there's a TV advert for Asda blaring out and ruining your conversation. Not on. Pass by, try another pub. LondonHawk - 30 Nov 2010 16:23 |
