Was drawn here by the building and the crowd that seemed to be enjoying theirsleves. Bar one side, pub grub the other. 4 ales on the pumps, all being local offerings Faux traditional in a chain pub type of way but it sort of works....lots of English memorabilia, great to see as a lot of pubs don't like showing this side. Decent place, not outstanding but it's worth a stop on the way to the station. lezford - 16 Apr 2014 14:17 |
Visited on 15/05/12 on a trip to York after buying a cocktail voucher on Living Social. Great cocktails, great attentive service and handy location. Food looked lovely and well priced although we didnt eat there. Would definitely recommend! janeygrenade - 17 May 2012 10:00 |
Hello everyone, I would just like to inform you all that Thomas's of York has re-opened in February 2012. It is now an independent pub serving quality British Food with a warm and friendly atmosphere. We have a late licence and are open late every Friday and Saturday night serving a good range of drinks including the World Famous Sarah Hughes cask ale which will be hard to find anywhere else in York. We look forward to welcoming you to Thomas's of York. Thank you Foxybingo1 - 1 Apr 2012 11:53 |
This pub has now closed. The Phoenix from the flames has been given the name of Mojhito's (spelling to be conformed), which claims to be a bar / mexican restaurant. They had Leeds United's Johnny Howson to open it this week. Yet to visit myself. DME - 9 Dec 2010 17:11 |
