Large Nicholsons pub situated on a cross roads. Busy with football fans especially as the Rep Of Ireland were on the television against Poland. The ale choice was pretty poor with only the dependable Caledonian Duechars IPA on cask. I went for this and as always it was very drinkable and a steal at £2.65 a pint . As I said above it was very busy so I found a spot to stand in and drink my pint. Probably a very decent pub but I felt a flying visit was a enough for me. Ticked and I probably wont return. lezford - 2 Apr 2015 13:29 |
Best pub in Shawlands by a mile. Looking a bit rundown but can't beat for atmosphere in evening plus service is top notch. Try the Arboath smokie fishcakes they're fantastic, they've also started selling Deuchars which is a big plus. spitfire123 - 12 Feb 2010 00:39 |
not bad food, good atmosphere in the "pointy end" of the building. Other side can smell of food a bit. emmar - 25 Sep 2007 16:36 |
Always a busy boozer, good atmosphere. Drinks could be cheaper though. mrgrumble - 24 Feb 2006 10:04 |
