Friendly pub - staff and locals alike - with Adnams Broadside, Woodfordes Wherry, GK Abbott and another I cannot recall. Wherry and Broadside were in good order but I don't drink GK so cannot comment on the Abbott. Food was OK with a broad menu and reasonable prices. Would definitely return when in area as long as I don't have to drink GK. mikey64 - 31 May 2014 17:56 |
This is a lovely traditional village boozer, with well kept ales and a warm and friendly welcome to all. It was packed on the Sunday that I visited and I am going back on a Saturday night in June when they have a band on. Somebody told me the music sessions are very well attended and a bloody good craic! PS It has brought on an extreme thirst writing this and thinking about a nice pint of Buffy's, Adnams, Wolf or whatever. Cheers! dougdeep - 22 May 2014 15:56 |
Only had a quick pint at this pub around 5pm one midweek evening. Was going to return and try the food but ran out of time. Had live music on the Friday evening. The pub looks a great little place and has a garden at the rear. Serves a good pint of ale. Very small car park but you can park in the road. I have rated the pub on the beer that I had and the look of the pub. smeegle - 30 Mar 2010 22:38 |
Great food, very good hot green Thai chilli, 4 well kept real ales at the moment plus usual others. Good turnover of beer, lots of customers. Beer garden. stevemaxwellimp - 26 May 2005 22:13 |
