Booked for a party of 20-25 for Sunday Lunch. Every thing was just right-highly recommended.

All credit to the owners for trying to get this place off the ground. Has been very stylishly refurbished, but a bit TOO stylish, it feels a bit stark and bright inside, hardly a cosy atmosphere. But plus points in friendly staff and good beer. Menu also looks imaginative

The Bucks Head has been under new management since June 1st,and has had a total refurb, blending its historical past with a subtle modern contemporary style. With a friendly atmosphere, and a varied choice of real ales and a comprehensive wine list; i found the the extensive food menu a pleasant difference from the usual 'pub grub'. Offering home cooked food throughout the menu is a plus, no frozen chips and microwaved lasagne here! I found this pub to be refreshing in its attitude, price and service; and recommend it to anyone with an eye towards satisfaction.

I've been in there a few times now and have never seen more than a couple of people in there. Shame really - the place seems friendly enough and it's right on the A140, I can't understand why it doesn't get busier.

Called into this place on a bright Sunday lunchtime at the end of January, a large not unattractive building, the sign beside the A140 said real ales, only had the one (London Pride) but the quality was fine, nobody else in the Pub, the welcome was friendly enough but the staff seemed to be waiting for something to happen but it did'nt, so we left and tried another Pub further on.
