Excellent pub - doesn't have the oldie world charm of a lot of nearby establishments - but beer, food and service is first class. Normal Fullers range, well kept plus guest ales. We have been here for a 'Valentine special' meal for two as well as with a group of 14 for Sunday lunch - which was well cooked and reasonably priced. Beer_Hound - 17 Apr 2013 09:05 |
Fullers pub, but the beer was well kept...Food was good and certainly reasonable (taking the ealry bird option 8)...big garden...if in the area, worth a visit... d.franks - 20 Apr 2011 21:51 |
Yet another overpriced Fullers pub with the usual beer selection, over priced food and yuppie clientele. Pub is quite basic with a billiards table and restaurant. Much prefer the Black Fox up the road superseagulls - 4 Jan 2011 17:45 |
A party of us went there for lunch, a month or so ago. We had a good friendly welcome, which was at varience to the unfriendly telephone manner, when we booked. The food and beer were excellent. jbsjazzer - 29 Oct 2010 14:47 |
What a refreshing sight! A fantastic veggie roast dinner! To be precise, Gartin Field Mushroom with Caramelised Onions & Peppers and Stilton, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables and Pan Gravy !! 100% vegetarian! I have been here twice before and this is my third visit. When I contacted Ben, the landlord, I got an immediate and super friendly response regarding my veggie requirements. It is always a pleasure to visit this pub and I highly, highly recommend it. To veggies, carnivores and fish eaters alike! sallyhawke - 6 Aug 2010 12:23 |
