| This bar was suppose to close down in Feb 2007 yet is still open and i wonder why its still open as its become a joke, the lounge is closed most of the time but have the garden bar open from thursday to sunday but dirty and tacky. The bar is probably the worse bar in Grampian, pints do taste nice but you have to fork out �2.40 and more expensive after 6pm, holes in walls, seats ripped up and very dirty thoughout, staff are the poorest ive ever encountered, it opens 10am everyday except sunday and a Q forming at 10am with all the dodgy characters and alcohics who use this dump, i wish they knock this place down WITH all those idiots who use it, best thing that could happen, when i 1st went in i was blown away by the place as it was a proper bar but it hasnt been decorated in over 10 years and with hotel above it leaking then the building could fall down while your in for a pint, you you want a cheap pint goto Justice Mill next door at �1.69 for a pint of carlsberg is fantastic value but sadly this bells bar is a bad example what happens when micky mouse people like the Marrs buy it Bjorky - 29 Mar 2010 20:49 |
| The Balmoral Lounge or Bells Bar with the Garden Conservatory at the bar is a total hovel!!! The Staff look like zombies!! Talk like banshees. And what's with the four old crows that do the karaoke Friday and Saturday night!!! That fat woman handing out sweeties for a song on the karaoke, heaven knows whose hands have been in those bowls!! Doesn't look like the hands of the customers are very clean. The karaoke machine doesn't work, the sound is a joke. The customers are dodgy, alcoholic old men and old women looking for a cougar or Toy-boy!! Young men no older than 18 with their tongues hanging out at the prospect of a woman (around 50) given him a good seeing to. Its abut time the Bells gave up the ghost sell it on a decorate it and make it a bar and hotel to be once again proud of!! suziquote - 24 Feb 2010 22:36 |
| This place and the Bells Bar are a disgrace, once the best pubs in Aberdeen is so run down it should be closed down, the staff are the worst ive encountered in years, the customers(some) are very dodgy, great if you want cheap knockoffs. This place is due to close down something in 2008, thank god as am hoping that they spend money on it to bring it upto standard, very poor place, better going next door to Chicago Rock Cafe, Only �1.50 a pint.
