Decked out in Hallowe'en gear which detracted somewhat from the traditional, multi-roomed interior, the walls of this pub are festooned with Rochdale Association Football Club memorabilia. Pubs were from Jennings (not my favourite) and other breweries and Barcelona v Celta Vigo was on the TV, with sound up and nobody watching. So - could be better and perahsp lies in the over rated camp. BoehmBawerk - 3 Nov 2014 13:17 |
An excellent traditional pub. 6 cask ales available and decent home cooked bar food which was great value for money. Well worth a special visit. alexw - 12 May 2013 20:28 |
If there is a beer on at a special low price be advised to ask for a taste before you buy. The £2.50 ale on Jan 5th was very tired indeed. pwilkins - 8 Jan 2013 08:54 |
2nd visit here..once again it was an enjoyable experience. The ales were top notch again and being a tuesday,i was able to use my camra card. only 1 gripe,we waited 50 mins for 2 bowls of chips....but wont let spoil the enjoyment of sitting in the pub as its an extremely friendly one at that. markredfox73 - 26 Aug 2011 11:51 |
