Borellis wine bar is one of my Top places to visit. Whether it be for a girls lunch or a night out at the weekend. The food is always top notch and great value for money. The staff are always great and now that i have become a regular they even remember what i drink! Having looked at some of the other reviews on here i wonder whether they've visited the same place? Would highly recommend a visit! Scamann - 16 Sep 2013 18:59 |
This place is slowly going downhill. When you have the big name brasseries opening in town you need to up your game. Instead you are met with clueless staff who can't spot customers waiting to be served, poor food (the good chef left!) and an overpriced wine list. getmeonein - 28 Jun 2013 13:49 |
Dreadfully downtrodden, shabby interior, smelly and dog-earred. A pity, because I've previously had good experiences in here, but my last was not so. The beer was putrid and the air was rancid from stale smoke drifting in from the door to the smoking area. I shall continue to pop in every now and again out of sheer optimism, but I wouldn't recommend this pub just at the moment, especially when there are better pubs (in every respect) within a few minutes' walk. Oh dear...where do start? Went here on a night out with a friend of mine for his birthday. As soon as we entered I noticed that there were some very pretentious looking drunk people loitering around the bar. The girl who served me behind the bar must have left her personality at home that night and did not smile, all night! I went into the gents and found some drunken fool peeing all over the floor. How this guy ever managed to stay in the bar all night was beyond me. The bouncers seem to use this place as a hang out to chat-up anything wearing a skirt so I didnt even bother flagging this up with them. To sum it up, this place seems to trying too hard to be Farnhams only trendy wine bar but it ends up coming over as an over-priced hang out for drunken spivs and wannabe footballers wives. I just hope they were all having an off night for their sakes. lemonheadlenny - 26 Feb 2012 20:33 |
