i recently went to the pub since the new owners have been there, and whilst it's alot more friendlier i had a steak and asked for it to be medium it was well and truly over cooked and tasted horrible, i will drink their but definitely won't eat there again the food has gone down hill which is such a shame caroleanne - 2 Jul 2008 19:07 |
This pub has just been taken over by new owners, Mark & Anne Marie. It has a very friendly atmosphere, great home cooked food cooked with fresh ingredients, and a big beer garden. Highly recommended. MrsHOH - 28 Jun 2008 11:39 |
I disagree with "anonymous", the pub is fine, and i hav eaten there many times with family friends. The food is a class act and, i am also at the Karaoke and i think it is the best entertainment the pub offers! Whats better than drunken men and women singing their hearts out? i vowed i would never return back to this pub after we had bad experiences, but i have to say our custom is back, the staff are very friendly and the food is so much better, they have a wide variety on the menu such as sweet and sour pork amongst other dishes, its a nice atmosphere and will definitely be back caroleanne - 15 Sep 2007 23:43 |
This pub has rather lost its way over the last few years. The staff are friendly enough, and the beer is OK, but the menu is basically fried food with chips. This tends to keep the restaurant area empty most evenings. Thursday evening Quiz nights are generally well attended, but the occasional Karaoke nights for the "over 50`s" tend to empty the pub rather than fill it up. There is a good sized garden, and a patio drinking area outside the pub anonymous - 7 Aug 2007 16:56 |
