Quite a nice pub. Bit 'spit'n sawdust' but seems well run with good music. It goes to show simple pubs can survive if they do things right. Shame it is a GK pub (or seems that way). Had the mild, ok, but a bit tired. Good pub let down by bland GK beers. 7/10 tommyn11685 - 15 Jun 2009 19:40 |
This is a very well run pub that puts on a lot of good and varied music (there can be a fee to enter depending upon the band). A real haven for alternative music scenes. Only downside is GK only beers foolwing the dimise of Ridleys. Rod_Hariga - 5 Jul 2008 21:29 |
Ipswichs premier live music pub for up and coming bands, a nice little boozer serving a niche market! Landlady runs a tight shop and the staff are outstanding, ale is well kept and often have a decent continental lager on draft. Odd L-shaped bar, decent sized dance floor and plenty of room outside. An excellent evening out for live tunes. Jammahn - 28 Oct 2007 15:24 |
