Now reopened as a Jamies wine bar. Shame. PlainSong - 20 Jun 2010 09:27 |
The Lowlander went broke and closed on 26 October 2009. PlainSong - 27 Oct 2009 13:35 |
No longer the Poet. Is now called LOWLANDER. Great place if you like Belgium beers. Must have about 20 on draught. Lost count of the bottled beers on the menu. Recommend a Beer Stick. Get 3 one third pint glasses of three different beers for a fiver. All three of mine were excellent. If you just want to stick to plain lager. You are looking at 3.20 a pint. Well worth a visit if you are on a pub crawl just to try something different. TheHorsesMouth - 26 Jan 2007 12:52 |
Food is good although it's pricey for what it is. They also have sky with a big and small screen. Lopper - 5 Apr 2005 17:53 |
A suits pub-come-bar for (mainly) insurance folks. A decent pint of Adnams and has music on the odd evening. Kevin Foreman - 22 Dec 2004 16:29 |
