| I went at lunch time on the 27/1/11 to take a birthday cake, sand some balloons for my daughters 40th b.day.there were going to be about 12 of us going on the night. we asked for Michael, who asked what i needed and i told him all that i wanted.ie photos of my daughter when she was small put on the table, balloons,and a birmingham city flag put somewhare.when we all got there on the evening, he had done everything i asked and he looked after us for the rest of the evening.he was brilliant,nothing was too much trouble for us.it made our night complete having someone like him to look after us.we often go there,never had any complaints at all,and we certainly didnt have any this night....thank you michael...... soulsister1949 - 28 Jan 2011 13:35 |

| On Friday 14th May I was having a drink with colleagues from work. Music was playing and my friend and I got up to have a dance. Prior to this we had just bought ourselves a drink, two double vodkas. When we got back to the table our drinks had gone. Other friends told us that the barstaff had taken them. When I explained what had happened to the barstaff they told me to speak to the manager which I did. I was disgusted with the manageress's attitude. She was totally unprepared to listen and she didn't even apologise for what had happened. It was a genuine complaint. She told me that there was nothing she could do and we shouldn't have left our drinks. What are you supposed to do when there is a dance floor. I know we would not be allowed to take them with us. I was disgusted and when I told her that I would not drink there again she shrugged her shoulders, in other words she didn't care. I WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN angrycustomer - 17 May 2010 08:46 |
| Beautiful building that should be the best pub in Castle Bromwich ruined by a policy of being the local youth club for years. if you are over eighteen then you may be too old. | my god what can you say... ideal if you want to get a beer after a hard day at school... the land lady is obviously trying to win the worst service award as all the staff seem more interested in chatting at the top end of the bar and not concentrating on seving in turn!!! how annoying, most nights have live entertainment which is usually the dingles fighting ..... yeah it really is a place that you will remember! vamoosh - 19 Jun 2008 15:46 |
