well i had heard so much bad stuff about this pub that when we couldnt find an alternative for my sons 18th i was worried to say the least we had the bar and lounge for the night and hey guess what bar staff couldnt have been nicer and no troubke at all just great night out lots of fun i would not hesitate to use the pub for further private functions keep up the good work

the 'Bale' as it's effectionately know to it's locals has been through a number of landlords in the last few years some good and some deplorable, but from what i can see from my last visit on the 14'th of this month, is that everything is on the up and up!!
the bar was clean and looked after, the beer was spot on (RESULT!) and it looked as if the Gaffer was enjoying his time there.... i felt safe and the patrons were friendly, I would definately drink in there again... Good Luck
