i read the comments on this pub and decided to see for myself if it s as bad as most make out.in all fairness i thought it would be fun to get a true feel by visiting on various days over a month. its true to say there are familiar faces but thats cool because its there local.some nights are quiet but then so was most other pubs when i left..thursday and saturdays were the best for me as they had live jazz band playing in the main bar area.there was new faces and very pleasant cheerfull atmosphere.i didnt try the beeer but there was plenty of spirits i enjoyed.:)if your going to visit try a thursday, saturday for the jazz or sunday for the roast dinners, weirdly thats the only food serving day?????? mystery !!!! because the food was very home made. jodie jodiecarters - 13 Mar 2010 21:52 |
Weird, what it this place trying to be. Whatever ithe aim is, it's failed. Disagree with the comment below about decent beer. If you're looking for real ale this place is poor. There's nothing to recommend this place by, avoid. RedHarvest - 18 Dec 2009 13:05 |
Quirky sort of place, more like a members club than a pub. Decent enough beer though and a friendly atmosphere, you're more than likely be engaged in conversation by someone. Wouldn't rush back. Millay - 19 Apr 2009 15:55 |
